When it came to talent and finesse behind the wheel of a Figure 8 car, there was one thing that is for  certain - John Fortin had them both and utized them to capture three track championships and 24  feature event wins, including four World Figure 8 Championship races. Consistency and his natural ability behind the wheel of a race car was, and still is, the key to John's success as a driver. After many years as a perennial front runner in the Figure 8 division, Fortin has for the past few seasons been a driving force in the NASCAR Modified division, with several feature wins to his credit.

In his years as a competitor in the Figure 8 division, one thing could be counted on each and every night when John Fortin was on the track - that he would be fast, and he would be in the hunt for the win at the end of the race. Fortin has an uncanny knack for picking the right spot to make his move at the right time, and he did it without using up his equipment.
